Meet Fledgling
Thought Leadership is What We Do.
Hi there! My name is Kate. I founded Fledgling to make thought leadership an accessible and empowering strategy for every powerhouse executive, founder, creative, and advocate who has incredible knowledge to share. In fact, my career has been all about helping thought leaders build and communicate with the audiences they seek to influence. Some of my favorite collaborations include:
- Helping multidisciplinary research teams pitch to the UN;
- Bringing the insights and poetry of a MacArthur Genius Award winner to a Big 10 university;
- Activating the art and science know-how of NASA artists in a contemporary art institution;
- Ghostwriting content and books with CEOs disrupting professional services, healthcare, chemical and material science, content marketing, and more.
I can't wait to add your project to this list. Let's talk!

Frequently Asked Questions
Who needs Fledgling?
Fledgling is for thought leaders - you powerhouse executives, founders, community leaders, and creatives who want and need to develop a thought leadership strategy - and who know they need a bit of support to make it happen.
Fledgling is a collaborative partner who brings both a strategic vision and tactical playbook to bear on your project or campaign. We sit alongside you and your team as a thought partner and strategic content expert. Together, we'll create your highest-quality, most impactful campaign, artifact, or proposal yet.
How does pricing work?
Projects are priced flat-rate, and can be packaged depending on the needs of your project and budget. Check out our Services page to learn more about strategy, editorial, and ghostwriting projects and packages.
If all you need is a listening ear and a partner to think through a problem, draft, or editorial calendar, sign up for Office Hours. You'll get eyes on your problem and time to talk it through for a flat rate of $300 per session.
Where can I find Fledgling's portfolio?
A beautiful and user-friendly portfolio is coming live to the website soon. In the meantime, we can provide writing samples via email upon request. Email Kate to request at kate@fledglingeditorial.com.
How long will my project take?
We all know that writing and editing projects can end up being unpredictable - but writing doesn't have to be inefficient. Most editorial and strategy projects are turned around in 72 hours or less. Most ghostwritten projects, with the exception of book-length works, are completed in 10 business days or less, from kick-off to final review.
How do we do it? Lots of practice, time on task, and smart project scoping. And we use generative AI only when it makes sense to do so and is approved by you in advance.
